Giving
The Jewish Community of Ojai is fully dependent on the generosity of its members and others who value the presence of a Jewish Temple in the Ojai Valley.
While much of our income comes from annual membership dues, members, as well as non-members, are encouraged to make donations for special occasions or simply to support the services the Temple provides to the entire community.

JCO offers a way to recognize your family, friends, and other members while at the same time adding to the vitality of our community. We have five funds that have been developed:

-
General Fund - Helps with temple expenses under the guidance of the JCO Board of Directors
-
Rabbi’s Fund - Supports Rabbi Lisa in helping individuals, programs, or organizations that need financial support, consistent with the Temple’s values
-
Cantor’s Fund - Supports Cantor Mitzi in helping individuals, programs, or organizations that need financial support, consistent with the Temple’s values

-
Programming Fund - Supports programming for all Temple members.
-
Safety Fund - Supports safety measures for the temple and our community.
-
Torah School Fund - Supports the Hebrew and Judaism education programs for our kids.

If you wish to recognize a birthday or anniversary, the memory of a loved one on their yahrzeit, celebrate a mitzvah, or honor someone, consider whatever amount you feel suitable (we suggest in multiples of Chai $18—ie: $36; $54; $72; $180 or other).
